Martyn White: Lee Bradbury relishes Monday’s Hawkshire derby

The Saturday/Monday situation is tough on any club. The Hawks will endure that for the second time when they kick off tomorrow afternoon against Whitehawk at Westleigh Park. The Hawks are looking to improve and solidify their position in the play off spots against a Whitehawk side which despite a 1-1 draw against Braintree on Saturday have had a fruitless start to their league campaign. I spoke to Lee Bradbury about the game against the Brighton based side.

“I watched them down at Bognor a few ago and they’ve got some good players, I know the manager, he’s brought a lot of really good individuals in and they’re going to take a bit of time to knit together. I think it’s a brand new team and squad, no ones there from the year before so that’s difficult. He’s got to have the fans and the boards understanding of what he’s done and what he’s trying to achieve going forward but you’ve got to be on your guard because they’ve got a lot of good players, experienced along with youth.”

The Hawks face Whitehawk at Westleigh Park and with Pompey away we hope to see a BIG crowd arrive at Westleigh Park for tomorrow’s big game. Tickets are £13 Adults, £9 Concessions with Pompey Season ticket holders getting in for just a fiver. Come and see the high-flying Hawks in action.
